Who can use Bizroom
Bizroom is for business owners and their representatives in the United States who are at least 18 years old. Membership is by application, and we or your chapter director may decline or end a membership at our discretion.
Your account
Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your sign-in details private. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us right away at info@bizroom.app if you think someone else is using it.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Free and paid plans, and what each includes, are described on our Pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for.
Payments are handled by our payment processor. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices or plan features; if a change affects what you pay, we'll tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then.
How we expect members to act
Bizroom works because people show up in good faith. In rooms, messages and everywhere else on Bizroom, please:
- Treat other members with respect. No harassment, threats or discrimination.
- Represent yourself and your business honestly.
- Don't send spam or unwanted bulk messages, or scrape or harvest member information.
- Don't record, screenshot or share another member's presentation or private conversation without their permission.
- Don't use Bizroom for anything illegal, or to promote illegal products or services.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of Bizroom.
Directors and the Bizroom team may remove someone from a room, and we may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Recordings
Some rooms (such as Networking Rooms, Industry Meetups and Expert Rooms) may be recorded by Bizroom so that reported issues can be reviewed and, for Expert Rooms, so members can watch replays. Small Groups are never recorded. By joining a recorded room, you agree to be recorded.
Your content
You own what you post or present on Bizroom, such as your profile, presentations and messages. You give Bizroom permission to host, display and share that content as needed to run the service, for example showing your profile to other members. Only share content you have the right to share.
Business between members
Bizroom introduces business owners to each other. We aren't a party to any deal, referral or agreement you make with another member, and we don't guarantee any result, referral or amount of business. Do your own checking before you hire, buy from or partner with anyone you meet here.
Chapter directors
Chapter directors lead local chapters under a separate agreement with Bizroom. Directors are not Bizroom employees unless that agreement says so.
Other services we use
Bizroom relies on other companies for things like video, payments, email and hosting. Their own terms may also apply when you use those features.
Bizroom's property
The Bizroom name, logo, website, app and materials belong to Bizroom. Don't copy or reuse them without our written permission.
Disclaimers
Bizroom is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it running well, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, and to the extent the law allows we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Bizroom won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost business. Our total liability for any claim related to Bizroom is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
Your responsibility to us
If your use of Bizroom or your dealings with another member lead to a claim against Bizroom, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
Ending your use
You can stop using Bizroom and close your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to for legal or safety reasons. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as limits on liability, continue after your account ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a significant change, we'll let members know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Bizroom after that means you accept the updated terms.
